"for the next generation"

More than $1.1 billion in construction contracts to renovate facilities at Los Angeles International Airport were approved today by L.A.'s airport commission. An architectural rendering of the planned Bradley West Concourse calls for building new gates to accommodate the next generation of large commercial planes like the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 787.
