Rodolphe Schacher

French-Swiss composer and pianist Rodolphe Schacher was born in Paris in 1973. He studied in Paris, Geneva and Zurich. His career as a student includes five Premier Prix at Paris Conservatoire, first Prize of Bertie Alder Stiftung, diplomas in piano, chambermusic and composition, all with excellence. His teachers were Gerald Bennett and Michael Jarrell.

Rodolphe Schacher is nowadays a highly demanded composer, his works are being played by prestigious orchestras such as Tonhalle Zurich, Zurich Chamber Orchestra and conducted by just as famous conductors, as there are: David Zinman, Ralph Weikert, Howard Grifith and many more. Besides his acknowleged success in symphonic compositions, he enjoyes writing chamber music and passionate film music.
