Brits in a Snit

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - A painting featured at an art exhibition in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, paints the British royal family in a negative light.

The painting has angered royal supporters for its portrayal of the Prince of Wales as a Nazi and the late Princess Diana as Jesus Christ, the Sun reported. "This seems to be a pathetic and tasteless attempt at art by a man with no talent," said David Ruffley, a member of the British Parliament. "People on the continent are just jealous of our royal family and the queen being a beacon of decency for the Western world."

"It is demeaning of the royal family. Some of the images are just awful," said Arthur Edwards, a photographer for the newspaper. Gallery the 3rd owner Maarten de Vlieger support the painting's artistic merit and suggested it might go on display in Britain.
